Urban Infrastructure Supporting Wastewater Treatment Project,Laos
1. Project Overview
The Laos Urban Infrastructure Supporting Wastewater Treatment Project is a key environmental infrastructure component of China–Laos urban development cooperation.
The project is designed to serve newly developed urban districts, providing reliable municipal wastewater treatment and reclaimed water reuse capability under constrained land availability and limited local operation resources.
The system adopts an underground integrated wastewater treatment solution, enabling compact deployment, minimal surface occupation, and strong adaptability to Southeast Asian urban development conditions.
2. Client Challenges
The client faced several practical engineering and operational constraints:
- Rapid urban development with tight construction schedule
- Extremely limited land availability in the project area
- Requirement for reclaimed water reuse for municipal applications
- Strict requirements for noise and odor control in urban environment
- Limited local operation and maintenance technical capacity
- Need for stable long-term performance with minimal supervision
Deliver a compact, low-maintenance, and highly stable wastewater treatment system suitable for dense urban deployment.
3. Our Engineering Solution
SYNERAQUA implemented a compact EPC wastewater treatment solution based on a mature biological process combined with underground modular construction.
